It was with great sadness that the Brueder Schlau Group of companies followed the reports and dreadful images of the destruction following the floods last summer. In order to provide help during this difficult time for many people, and as a sign of solidarity, the family-owned company is donating goods vouchers with a total value of 500,000 euros.
The donation is intended to directly benefit the victims of the devastating storms, those who lost their homes or suffered major damage. “Some of these people have to start from scratch. It’s important to us that we provide them with support and make their new start at least a little easier,” says Carolin Neffe, Managing Director of the Brueder Schlau Group.
The donation package includes a value of 500,000 euros in the form of 200 Hammer merchandise vouchers with a credit balance of 2,500 euros each. These are placed with non-profit, church and community organisations via the “innatura” platform from Cologne. In this way, particular attention can be given to people and institutions that do not receive aid from insurance companies or are generally in a difficult financial situation. “Our company wants people to be able to feel comfortable at home. This also applies to the issue of interior design with flooring, paint, wallpaper, curtains and much more. Many people in the affected regions have been deprived of a sense of well-being in their homes and this is exactly where we want to start providing support,” emphasised Carolin Neffe.
