Dedicated District Management

THIS WAY TO THE JOB PORTAL.

Matthias Roesler joined the Brueder Schlau Group in February 2023 and is now responsible for nine Hammer Speciality Stores in north-eastern Germany, including the new store in Rendsburg, which opened in 2024.

After completing his training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant, Matthias Roesler studied business administration in Hamburg and then went on to work in various companies. Most recently, he felt the desire to take on new challenges and areas of expertise, which he found at the Brueder Schlau Group. “I drive without a rear-view mirror, always looking ahead with a positive attitude. District management and communication with colleagues are the professional foundations on which I want to continue building,” says the 56 year-old.

In addition to having a talent for communication, for him there’s much more that characterises a manager: Close and constant contact with both customers and his own employees is important to him. For this reason, his main areas of responsibility include structuring and coordinating the Hammer Speciality Stores. Matthias Roesler attaches great importance to communication and openness throughout the team.

Expertise and know-how

“As manager, it is very important for me to create
a positive and productive working environment
in which everyone can realise their full potential.”

As a district manager, Nordlicht also acts as a liaison and sounding board between his branches and the head office in Porta Westfalica. “I really enjoy taking on responsibility and sharing my knowledge.” He sees his employees in the Hammer Speciality Stores as the central figurehead of the company: “Customers should come to the store because of the expertise and know-how of the employees as well. “As manager, it is very important for me to create a positive and productive working environment in which everyone can realise their full potential.” He is driven by one of his most important guiding principles: ‘’Be the best you can be‘ – I refer to this in my daily work and in my dealings with those around me, be it customers, employees, family or friends,’ reports Matthias Roesler. This is why open communication and regular sales seminars are important to him. He also favours a breath of fresh air for further development and encourages people to think outside the box.

Every day offers different topics and focal points.

After more than 20 years of professional experience as a district manager in various companies and industries, he still finds his job extremely varied: “Every day offers different topics and focal points. That is why a certain flexibility is important, but also structure and accuracy.” Within the Group, he sees the corporate culture as one of a group of equals – and it is precisely this fair cooperation that is equally important to him when dealing with his employees: “I firmly believe that good cooperation and teamwork are the keys to success,” Matthias Roesler says with conviction. “You have to enjoy coming to work, and that’s what I want to achieve with my way of doing things.”
