On 18 July 2024, the speciality store from our retail sales division opened its doors at Annenstraße 133 in Witten. Within the completely refurbished Kaufland shopping centre, customers will find everything they need for their new home in an area of around 750 m².
“If you want to create dream spaces for others, you should set a good example yourself.” Following this guiding principle, our Hammer Speciality Store in Witten moved into newly renovated premises in the new Kaufland shopping centre. The premises are located in a facility within the new Kaufland site as a central point of shopping. In addition to our speciality store, many other shops in the building complex have been inviting shoppers to stroll around since the joint opening. Thomas Lindenau, store manager in Witten for 17 years, is looking forward to the launch at the new location: “The former Wickmann site has grown in recent years and has developed positively.”
New and improved
After more than eight weeks of extensive refurbishment, the Hammer Speciality Store in Witten presented its most beautiful side on its reopening day. Customers will find everything they need for new living ideas on more than 750 m² of floor space. Whether it’s paints, wallpaper, curtains, sun protection, floor coverings, carpets, bedding or home accessories – the clear spatial concept of the new specialist store, with its friendly and bright departments and wide aisles, provides a focused shopping experience.
Since 2007, our Hammer Specialist Store, between the Witten city centre and Annen, has been a constant port of call for customers looking to renovate. The reopening at the new location in Annen marks a complete reorientation towards a comprehensive service concept, both for us as the Brueder Schlau Group and for Thomas Lindenau and his eight employees. The fact that the area of the new Hammer Specialist Store is now only around a third of the original 2,400 m², is by no means a negative, as the store manager confirms: “We use samples to find the right floor coverings, wall colours or curtain fabrics together with our customers then take measurements on site, order the goods and our craftspeople get straight to work.”
Complete range of services from a single source
Customers will find the usual quality consisting of a large product portfolio and a comprehensive range of services in the new premises of our Hammer Speciality Store in Witten. Our employees provide advice in store and directly at the customer’s premises. They cater to their wishes and ideas and plan the individual interior design. Our team, consisting of certified interior design consultants and specialised salespeople, advises and supports our customers. We have provided the team with comprehensive training to ensure that customers receive advice on everything from floors and walls to window decorations and sun protection.
“We also provide cross-range advice at our other locations. This allows us to focus on the entire home with all its facets. That’s what sets us apart as a branch-based interior decorator,” says Tim Napierala, Hammer District Manager.
Once the desired products have been selected and individually planned, it’s time for the implementation: if customers don’t have the time or energy needed to beautify their living spaces themselves, they can make use of the all-round craftsperson services such as the laying, installation, painting, wallpapering and decoration service. “Experience has shown us that when someone makes the decision to renovate, they want to book our professional services right away, which is great because we enjoy accompanying our customers on their journey – from the initial idea to the fully renovated room,” says Tim Napierala after the successful new opening in Witten.
